CEMETERY RESIDENTS
Cemetery Residents
There are tens of thousands of people laid to rest within the cemetery. Every person interred there has an individual story to tell, and all those stories intertwine at some level to paint a picture of the history of Brisbane and Queensland.
These pages feature short biographies of some of those residents, and will slowly build up over time to include more people. Check through the alphabetical index below to see which people are featured so far.
Share Your Story Here!
Do you have a relative or friend who you would like to see included in these pages? We’d love to hear from you. Just send us their story via email, in text or word document and we will format it for inclusion here (if it is relevant). We are interested in sharing the stories of ‘ordinary’ people who have little (or no) presence in the history books. They do not need to have lived incredibly dramatic lives.
Please try and keep your submission within a 500 word limit per person. This is best achieved by not including too many dates or minor details of a person’s life. Images are welcome (maximum two per person).
Thank you.
